In this statement I explain which personal data I process, why I process them, and how I handle them responsibly.
This statement applies to all business activities, websites and newsletters managed by Leon Korteweg.

3. Security
I take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including secure connections (SSL), limited access to systems, and encrypted backups.
I do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
4. When you visit my websites
Purpose and legal basis
I process data about website visits for two main purposes:

Analytics — to understand how visitors use my websites, improve content and performance, and detect errors.
Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) or consent if cookies are used. -
Marketing — to measure and improve advertising campaigns via Google Ads and Meta Ads.
Legal basis: consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings on my websites.
Cookies
Non-essential cookies (such as analytics and marketing cookies) are placed only after you have given consent via the cookie banner.
Essential cookies are placed automatically to make the website function properly.

Depending on the service, they may act as data processors (processing data on my behalf) or as independent controllers (processing data for their own purposes).

Additional information
For Google Analytics 4, IP addresses are anonymised before storage, ensuring that collected data cannot be traced back to individual persons.
For marketing tools such as Google Ads and Meta Ads, personal data like IP addresses or cookie identifiers may be processed by those providers in accordance with their own privacy policies.
I do not have access to any personally identifiable information from these tools.
5. When you subscribe to a newsletter
Purpose and legal basis
I use your name and email address to send you newsletters that may include educational and commercial content.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in any email.

6. When you send a contact request
Purpose and legal basis
When you contact me by form, email, or phone, I use your personal data to respond to your question or request and to maintain correspondence.

If you become a customer or supplier, I process personal data to manage our collaboration, perform the agreement, and meet administrative and legal obligations.

Your data are never shared with third parties unless necessary to fulfil the agreement or comply with legal obligations.
8. International data transfers
Some suppliers are located outside the European Economic Area.
Whenever this is the case, your data are transferred based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

This privacy and cookie statement may be updated periodically to reflect changes in law or business practices.
